NDA policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Sharing a new idea takes trust. This page explains how TekMagnus treats confidential information and when we’ll sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Before you share sensitive details
The enquiry form is for a general description of what you have in mind. If your idea is sensitive, keep your first message high-level and ask for an NDA. We’ll put one in place before you share the confidential details.
Signing an NDA
We’re happy to sign a reasonable mutual NDA before detailed discussions. You can propose your own, or we can provide ours. Either way, both parties need to agree and sign it for it to apply.
How we treat confidential information
Under an NDA, we:
- use your confidential information only to evaluate or carry out the agreed work;
- limit access to the people who need it;
- don’t disclose it to others except as the NDA allows or the law requires;
- return or delete it on request, except for copies we must legally keep or that remain in routine backups for a limited time.
What an NDA usually doesn’t cover
- Information that’s already public, or that becomes public through no fault of ours.
- Information we already knew or developed independently.
- Information we lawfully receive from someone else.
- Disclosures required by law or a court.
Similar ideas
Many ideas are similar, and an NDA protects confidential information rather than a general concept. TekMagnus also builds its own products and works with other clients. We don’t use your confidential information for those activities.
AI tools and confidential work
Our AI services and API policy explains how we handle confidential information when AI tools are involved.
Client projects
Confidentiality, ownership and related terms for a project are set out in its written agreement. A signed NDA or project agreement takes priority over this general policy.
